“a kind gesture can reach
a wound that only
compassion can heal”
— Steve Maraboli
Many women in our community are experiencing housing instability, yet existing options often lack the focused resources, structure, and safety needed for true healing. While shelter is available, long-term support and intentional care are not always accessible.
Our home was created to meet this need. We provide a safe, stable place designed specifically for women in transition—where dignity, structure, and support come together to create real opportunities for change.
our advantage // our approach
What sets our home apart is our intentional intake and direct referral process, allowing us to understand each woman’s needs from the start and place her in an environment that matches her level of care.
Our residence is located above a primary care, mental health, and psychiatric clinic, providing on-site wraparound services. Immediate education and access to mental health and emotional support resources ensure women have the tools needed to rebuild their lives. As basic needs are met, we anticipate improved well-being, increased confidence, and stronger pathways toward employment and ndependent living.
While there is existing housing in the community, many lack the focused resources, structured programs, and safe environments that our facility aims to provide. A focus on direct referrals and a comprehensive intake process will distinguish us from traditional services, ensuring we effectively meet the complex needs of women in transition.
Program Eligibility
Our program serves adult women, age 18 and older, who are experiencing housing instability and whose needs align with the level of care and structure provided by our home. Residents are accepted through referrals from trusted partners, including the Tacoma Department of Corrections, City Navigators, and other social service agencies. By collaborating closely with these stakeholders, we ensure women are appropriately placed and receive the coordinated support necessary for stability, healing, and long-term independence.
